"Hi, this is Jim Goettler on behalf of Expert Village. This is a series about how to produce a house concert. I'm not going to try and define house concert we're just simply going to put one together. This segment I want to like at least touch on the need of the house. If you decide to have a concert and you have friends and you're all thinking about where best to do it. Really give it some thought. Apartments are generally not a good idea, obviously, because you're going to have a lot of people coming over and you're going to be making some noise. You need to think of someone that has a big living room, think of someone who has a working toilet or two or three. You need to think of someone who has a kitchen because just so folks come over and have a good time they're going to need space to sprawl out. It needn't be fancy, It needn't be a huge estate but it does need to be a place that people are comfortable coming into. Some of the people you may not know, someplace that with a kitchen so you can heat up the snacks and so on with an accessible sink on it. The next segment I'm going to touch on, once you find the house, how to make it presentable so performers are going to look forward to coming and doing a show. Thanks."
