"Hi! This is Jim Goettler here on behalf of Expert Village. This is a video about how to produce a small community festival. Up to now, most of the segments have dealt with the nitty gritty work of putting on a festival. We've gone through permits, we've gone through staging, radios and insurance. In this segment, I would suggest you put all that aside for a while and during the day of your event, you take off your radio, you put down your clip board and go around and walk around your party. See what you've done, see what it feels like to walk around. It is very important. A lot of people never do it. Go out and meet the vendors, talk to the sponsors. If you have a beer garden, stop in and at least visit with the people pouring the beer. You've got to feel for what your work has done. It is very important so that you can talk about it later and also talk about everybody else's working all day and trying to put this thing together. So I strongly suggest as part of your day, you just walk around, take it in, take in the smells, take in the sounds and enjoy yourself. In the next segment I am going to talk about the final part of most festivals and that is the debrief. Stay with me. "
