Video Transcript

"Hi! This is Jim Goettler with Expert Village and this is a video about how to produce a small community festival. In this segment, I am going to touch on sponsorship. In the last segment, we touched on vending and looked upon not only as a part of the programming but income producer. It is very unlikely that vendors alone are going to be able to pay for your entire festival. You may need to go to sponsors. Sponsors are nothing but people in your community who really believe in what you are doing, want to see it happen, have to be in a position to help you financially to get there. That is all it is. You need to think in terms of sponsorship so you can pay for the event and hopefully at the end of your event, turn money back into your sponsor or organization or into your organization for your next time go around. So think in terms of sponsorship. At times we want to see banners exchanged, you may want to see notice in your program exchange. There are all sorts of ways sponsorship can become part of your festival and help you pay the bills which is what this is all about. In the next segment, I am also going to talk to you further on issues of money. I am going to talk to you on beer gardens. Stay with me. "
