"I’m Joe Marshall with expertvillage.com and today we’re going to learn about fans and spreads. This is a twin fan also known as an s-fan, sometimes referred to as a dragon fan, you make two one handed fans like I explained earlier, you put them together it creates an S, you take them away it’s a twin fan that’s the only difference, they’re basically essentially the same. What you’re going to want to do is you want to peel off 26 cards in one hand 26 cards in the other, it seems more difficult than it is because all the cards are kept in numerical order when you open them, you’re just going to peel off until you see the king of clubs, that is the middle of the deck and after you peel off like that you’re going to lever this portion into your hand, I’ll explain that again in a little more detail. Then you want to come down and do your one handed fan, it’s important to learn all your fans with both hands and become for things like this, so you can do S fans or twin fans. The setup for that is the same if you’re going to do a one handed fan, you hold it in this position but instead of your thumb going down to the bottom of the spread you’re just going to use your thumb, first finger in the back to give it pressure, you’ll put your fingers here in the middle and that’s just to hold them there so they don’t fly away and you’re just going to peel cards like so and then you’ll pivot it up and that pivots just dropping it into the hand and flipping it over with these fingers here and if you’ll notice when you flipped it over and pivot it they look identical they’re held the exact same way, this is your get ready setup type of thing and then both your thumbs will drop behind and or come up and fan them out into the s fan or twin fan and then to close them up you’ll just put them on each other and collapse it."
