"Hey this Joe Wiles with the Rock and Roll Conservatory on behalf of Expert Village. Let's take a look at Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Water". It's really simple. It's two finger power chords and, well, four or five different of them. Let's take a look at the guitar. It starts out here on the third fret of the low E string and the fifth fret of the A string. Okay? Then you're going to move your two finger power chord down to the first fret of the A string and third fret of the D string. Slide up two frets, third fret, fifth fret. Repeat. Then fourth and sixth and third and fifth. Back down here. Put together slowly it looks like this. To speed it looks like this. That's one of those songs that you've got to learn to play if you're going to be a guitar player. One of the first songs I teach all my students. In the next segment we're going to talk about "Iron Man" by Black Sabbath, and I'll see you there."
