"Hello, this is Joe Wiles with the Rock in Rock Conservatory on behalf Expert Village. In this segment we are going to talk about a different approach it's called the up 3 approach. Basically you start with first note and go up 3 then you go to the second note and go up 3. It's really simple let's go the guitar and take a look. Start with the first note of the scale and go up 3, 1 2 3 then go up to the second note of the scale 1 2 then go up 3. Then go to the third note of the scale and go up 3, and do the fourth note of the scale and up 3. Keep going like that in that fashion until you reach the top in context it sounds like this. (playing guitar) Now in the next segment we are going to go to the top of that scale back down to the bottom and then are going to do a practice exercise so you can learn that method pretty well, I'll see you in the next segment."
