"Hey, this is Joe Wiles with the Rock and Roll Conservatory on behalf of Expert Village. Let's take a look at "Sweet Child of Mine" by Guns N' Roses. To start it off we're going to do everything up here past the twelfth fret, okay? We're going to pad the twelfth fret of the D string along with the twelfth fret of the G string. We're going to pad those with one string or with one finger rather. Okay? Now, to start this off we're going to form kind of, part of a D chord here with your middle finger on the fourteenth fret and your ring finger on the fifteenth. Then we're going to lift off our middle finger to reveal the pad on the twelfth fret. Okay? We're going to put this back down and move our middle finger to the fifteenth fret of the high E string and then hit this fourteenth fret of the G string. Fourteenth fret of the E string. Fourteenth fret of the G string. Let's go over that riff. The next phrase we're going to pad these two on the fourteenth fret, the D and the G string keeping our index finger back here on the twelfth fret of G string doing the same type of thing. Then we're just going to simplify this a lot. Twelfth fret on the G string, fifteenth fret on the B string, fourteen G, twelve G. Same answer and repeat. In context, slowly, it sounds like this. That was a pretty complicated riff so if you get frustrated at first keep trying and work through it. If you need to, go online to find some tablature to help you out with that. Our next segment is going to be "Killing in the Name" by Rage Against the Machine. I'll see you there."
