"JOE WILES: At number 40, is My Chemical Romance with "Famous Last Words." Let's take a look. This song starts off with a big hit of a D minor power chord. Now you're index finger is going to be on the 5th fret of the A string, your middle finger is going to be on the 6th fret of the B string, your ring finger on the 7th fret of the D string, and your pinkie on the 7th of the G string. Go and hit those middle four strings twice. And then, we're just going to focus on the bottom two and play two finger power chords from there. So it sounds like this. We're going to slide it down, two frets, one, two. Then we're going to take that two from the power chord using the same form and put it on the 6th fret of the low E string and the 8th fret of the A string. The next chord, we're going to leave our ring finger there, slide down our index finger, put our middle finger on the 7th fret of the D string. All right, let's review and this is where we're at so far. The next chord, I'm going to put my index finger on the 3rd fret of the low E string, then I'm going to bar across the next three strings with my ring finger. I'm going to hit that four times, one, two, three, four, then release that so with my index finger is still on the 3rd fret of the low E string, my middle finger is going to be on the 4th fret of the G string, my ring finger is going to be on the 5th fret of the A string, and pinkie on the 5th fret of the D string. So four like this. Sounds like this when you palm mute it with your right hand. Okay? And then we're going to slide up to another two fingered power chord, index on the 5th, ring on the 7th of the E and the A string. Hit it four times. Keeping our index finger here, we're going to stretch our pinkie up to the 10th fret of the A string. So four here--one, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. Then we're going to slide both of these together to the 6th fret of the E string and 8th fret of the A string. Okay? Then, we're going to hit this eight times on the 6th fret of the E string and the 8th fret of the A string--two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Bring our ring finger to the 8th fret of the E string, one, two, three, four. Bring our middle finger to the 7th fret of the A string and lift up our pinkie. Hit it four times. Let's do all that in a sequence, okay. All right, now that you've got all the positions for the chords and the power chords, in the next segment, we're going to go over how to put it all together and what it sounds like. I'll see you there."
