"Alright, I've already showed you tuning the top of the snare. Now, the bottom of the snare is a little bit more tricky, and just a little bit different. You're going to go from, I'll just show you that right now. Alright, I've turned the snare drum upside down. Already, you can see, is an obstacle right here: we've got the snares. Now, the snares, you want to - a lot of snares, you can just easily take these off, you can just - you unscrew from here. If you need to replace your snare, or if you want to maybe get this strip a little tighter. And you would want it tighter if you would want more of a kuk, kuk. And there's different sustaining within a snare, you can get more of a - and you can already tell - you can have it kind of like loose like that, or tight like that. Depends on just what kind of style that you're doing, what kind of tuning, and what - how you want to hit your drum. With the snare, the bottom head, these are really delicate. I mean, these are the most delicate. They cost more than the top head, and they're just really - you have to be really careful with them just because they're so thin on that side. Allows more reverb, allows more overtones of the snare, getting that "wow" kind of sound."
