"There's not too much to tuning a drum. Pretty much the basics, all you need is a tuning tightener for your lugs right here and you need your head and your drum, and that's pretty much it. Now for the heads, there's many different types of heads. You've got your Remo head, you've got Evans heads, these are, just different kinds of company brand, company names and within those companies you have a bunch of different types of heads. You know they could be really thick, really thin. The really thick is for like highly muffled sounds, which is when you want more of a DOO DOO. You want more, a thinner head is little more lessened, you know the sound vibrates such and you now, go out, and you know just BOW. You know, just pumping out when you hit the drum, and there's just many types of heads you can get. And also, different types of muffling devices. You can get, these are called, these are are Evans E ring head mufflers, and you can get those, they just go on. You can tell a difference when I hit the drum. You've got really loud, and then you dent, just by doing that. Just dampens it so much you know. A lot, a lot of that if based how you want your drum. This is all based on how you want your drum, what kind of style you want. You know many famous drummers mix different kind of styles and different types of tuning, you know you can mix your snare drum tuning from your, from your tom tuning. And really it's just basically want you want, and these are pretty much the basic supplies you need and that's about it."
