An interesting way to add some life to your landscape photographs is to involve people and/or animals. Sometimes, the animals or people are going to be naturally found in your landscapes. Other times, it might be some friends or some models you brought along to help extenuate the photograph. One of my favorite places to shoot a landscape actually is underwater. I guess you could call it a seascape. But, it's kind of tough working with fish. They don't really listen that well. You'll see in this photograph that I took in the Red Sea, I isolated this parrot fish against a group of orange dazzles. To me, as soon as I came across this, I knew it was a photograph I needed to take, but it was all about a personal situation and not affecting the environment to where I might scare them off or have some adverse effect on them. So you need to be ready to shoot your photograph when you're dealing with people and animals. Because you might only have a second to capture it right away. Immediately after I shot that photo, all of the fish scattered. So, it's just really important to balance the people and animals with the landscape, maybe show how they're interacting with the landscape or how the landscape is affecting them. But, you know, don't be afraid to add people and animals to your landscapes to really help heighten the image.
