"When choosing an SLR camera which stands for single lens reflex, you have a lot of options nowadays. Most major manufactures of cameras create digital SLR's. I chose the Nikon because the Nikon D-70 because it had all of the features that I wanted and it was at a price that I could afford. You'll find when you start looking at digital SLR's, they can range anywhere from five hundred dollars to six or seven thousand dollars. Generally you get what you pay for but just be sure not to price yourself out a camera that's above you means or above what you're really going to need it for. This camera cost a little over a thousand dollars with some of the accessories that it came with and for me it's perfect. Some people I know, they have the higher end cameras that give them more features, typically I don't feel that I need a camera that costs six or seven thousand dollars. You can do a lot of research on the Internet, local camera store or even major electronics distributors and find out what's going to be the right SLR for you. I think it's important to go with a brand that's been around for a long time making cameras, has a history of making cameras. So just explore what's going to be the right price for you, what are going to be the right features for you and that'll help you determine what's going to be the right digital SLR for you."
