"We've now learned how to play and construct a C tonic major arpeggio on the violin. But let's take a look at it on staff paper. Here's our Treble Cleff. Now here's our C. Remember we start off with the second finger. Remember, the fingerings are on top. The degrees of the arpeggio are below. So we have our first scale degree 1 and second finger and it's also in second position, remember that. Now we have a 2 with E and it has a natural, so it's E natural. Remember, G is 3, C is 4, E natural has a 3 over it meaning it's played with the third finger. G is 6 and so forth and so forth. You see, as we get to our 8th, 9th, and 10th scale degree we switch positions on the 8th, that's why we have this 1 here because it switches."
