"JAYNE ENTWISTLE: In continuing our warmups with vocal warmups for improv, we're going to do something really fun called "tongue twisters." Everybody knows a tongue twister. Everybody! She sells seashells on the seashore. Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled pepper. ANDREW STUBBLEFIELD: How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck would chuck wood? JAYNE ENTWISTLE: So these are excellent ways to get your mouth ready to do improv or like I said public speaking. The more you do tongue twisters, the more warmed up your mouth gets, the less likely you are to bumble your words. This is why we do this. So here are some simple, fun tongue twisters. The first one is "Toy Boat". Toy boat, now just say toy boat one after the other really fast. Toy boat, toy boat, toy boat, toy boat, toy boat, toy boat, toy boat, toy boat, toy boat, toy boat, toy boat... ANDREW STUBBLEFIELD: Toy boat, toy boat, toy boat, toy boat, toy boat, toy boat, toy boat, toy boat, toy boat. It's hard as you can see but it really helps you out. JAYNE ENTWISTLE: Yes. Ten, tin, thin, things, ten, tin, thin, things, ten, tin, thin, things, ten, tin, thin, things, ten, tin, thin, things. ANDREW STUBBLEFIELD: Ten, tin, thin, things, ten, tin, thin, things, ten, tin, thin, things, ten, tin, thin, things. JAYNE ENTWISTLE: Read it back, ten, tin, thin, things, ten, tin, thin, things. ANDREW STUBBLEFIELD: Ten, tin, thin, things, ten, tin, thin, things. JAYNE ENTWISTLE: Okay. The other one we're going to learn is red leather, yellow leather. Red leather, yellow leather, red leather, yellow leather, red leather, yellow leather, red leather, yellow leather. ANDREW STUBBLEFIELD: Red leather, yellow leather, red leather, yellow leather, red leather, yellow leather, red leather, yellow leather. JAYNE ENTWISTLE: Do you have one that you like, Andrew? ANDREW STUBBLEFIELD: There's, "You know you need unique New York." JAYNE ENTWISTLE: Yes, that's a great one. ANDREW STUBBLEFIELD: So you know you need unique New York, you know you need unique New York, you know you need unique New York, you know you need unique New York. JAYNE ENTWISTLE: You know you need unique New York, you know you need unique New York, you know you need unique New York. Okay, so these are the great things that you can practice at home. Those are called tongue twisters."
