"Hi this is Jeff Isbell on behalf of ExpertVillage.com. Today we’re going to look at some combination picking patterns and well they go something like this. Combinations are individually plucked strings and two or more strings plucked together. Here I’m using one finger and then my second and third finger together. Let’s take that with a basic A minor chord. My thumb plays the A string and then my finger plays the D string and then these two fingers here play the second and third strings on the guitar. Changing to a major 7. And then this pattern can go forward or backwards like the others. Or you can combine it, here’s a little small roll of one, two. Here’s a big roll with it. So you can see, there’s any number of combinations and you should play with those. Some of your best stuff and song ideas will come from putting together combinations that challenge you a little bit. on 8/2/2008 Of all the acoustic guitar guides out here in EV.com, yours is the most easiest and accessible of them all. I just bought a guitar recently, and besides having to look up some of the chords, I'm having a lot of fun following this course.
