"In this clip we'll discuss the automation possibilities in digital performer. Start with this little intro we did with the drum loop and it kind of conflicts with the regular drums so I'm going to take that out. We are going to turn on automation by clicking this green button then the drum loop track. We're also going to hit the record button, so what i'm going to do is mute this as soon as the other drums come in. We can also automate the volume, the pans and the effects (anything in the effects). We'll do some more automation, but that's just all you do turn the record off. Now you can see it turns off automatically. If we wanted to do a fader move we could do that as well. Now we play it back and there is what we have."
