"Hi! My name is Jeff Pence with UBA Media on behalf of Expert Village. In this clip, we will be discussing how to set up and configure midi tracks in Digital Performer. First we will create a new Midi Track from the top menus of the project, add track, Midi Track. It comes up in track overview window. Option click the name track 1, you can call it what you want. We are going to call it hat, for high hat and then we are going to select the output which is going to be the D4 which is our drum machine. It is in record enable here so we start before we get any time and if we want to create more than 1 track at a time, we go to project add track, hold down the option key at the same time which will make multiple Midi Tracks and it will ask in upper left hand corner, add how many tracks. Let's say 2 will be fine and just hit that. Same thing, option click the name and we will call it kick drum and snare drum. "
