Now we have let our partially wet book sit for a little bit and it is time to change the papers, you don't want to let the paper towels get too wet because otherwise the book is not going to dry properly. So every half hour or so, at least initially to more frequently as the book dries you want to go through, pull out the wet paper towels and then put dry ones in. If you can put them between separate pages, rather than the original ones than that should always be done. Another thing to remember as with putting in the waxed paper for the clay coated pages of a book, is you are going to cause some distortion depending on how many pieces of absorbent paper towels you have put in. When your choices are saving a book or not saving a book at all, the option for distortion is probably one of the better choices rather than not saving a book at all. So it is something to bear in mind, it also means as soon as the paper, the pages of your book are dry enough for the book to be treated as a damp book then you are going to want to pull them out and go back to our steps for a damp book.
