How to Sell Merchandise on Tour: Bands

"Hi my name is Jerimae Yoder on behalf of Expert Village as far as merchandising go as your getting ready for the tour make sure you have enough merchandise. Obviously if you have a trailer your going to be able to have a lot of room to put merchandise in make sure you have enough CD's, if your playing 100 venues your going to sell at least 10 CD's that will be great, but if that we're the case so you do 10 of those your going to need you know 100 CD's something like that. Make sure you have t-shirts with your band logo on it or your website on it somewhere, stickers saying same thing always want to get your website or your logo out there for people to see in your merchandise. Hats, pens, things like that go real quick on merchandise tables especially real cool looking ones, things that are really up to date and current. And think of other things friends of mine have done things like after a couple of gigs cutting their drumsticks in half putting a whole through it and a chain on it and selling as trinkets. Picks the same way and also you know your guitar strings use them as bracelets like that even though your not going to use those anymore, you can use those things and sell them for a buck a piece and make extra cash with the things that you have. Get somebody to run your merchandise table before you get to the venue or have that in your appearance agreement or on your tour rider that somebody will run your booth for you. So you guys don't always have to be right there so you guys can go and do your thing meet with your people you don't have to worry about selling merchandise."
