"When you're taking photographs in the studio, you can use the lights to create a lot of different effects. One of my favorite effects with light is using a single source of light in a strobe fashion. So, it's just flashing on and off. But, what I like to do and it creates a neat effect. Is if you have a dark room and you have a subject in a dark room. And, you use a very very long exposure. So, the camera the shutter speed is open for a long period of time. And, seeing that the room is dark. You can hit the subject with a flash. Have the subject move, hit them with a flash again, have them move again, hit them with a flash a third time. And, all this is done in the same image. And, you'll end up with an image that looks like three of the same person running around in the same picture. There's lots of other effects. You can light someone from behind and have more of an angelic look. Because, they'll have like a halo around them of light. You can light them from below and it's the old campfire holding a flashlight underneath you. And, it can create more of a ghostly or scary look. But, you know the biggest thing is just to experiment. And, see how the different light positioning are going to effect your subject. And, what different effects they're going to create."
