"When you're working with multiple lenses, which most professional photographers will do because every different lens gives you different options for different scenarios. You need to make sure that you know how to take care of all your lenses. And also how to use them with the camera. A very important thing is if you have multiple lenses is to find a case that's going to allow you to store multiple lenses in one place, in a safe place. Lots of padding. Lots of foam. You don't want any cracks in your lenses or any of the pieces to get roughed up. So, it's important to have a case that's going to allow you to hold more than enough lenses than you have. As you see, I've got several open slots, but I'm hoping to have additional lenses in the future. When you're working with multiple lenses, you're going to be changing them out. This is when your camera is most vulnerable. So you to be very careful at these times because when you take the lens off as it is right now. Well right now we have cases on them both, caps if you will. But when we take these caps off, you have to remember that your camera is open for dust and things to come in. So what I like to do is if I'm removing the cap from the actual camera, I like to put the camera face down so that no dust or anything is falling in. And then the same with your, with your lens. When you take the cap off, you just want to be ready to move quick. Find your dots. Line them up. Snap them on. And then you're ready to go. And just always remember not to leave your camera or your lens uncovered for too long a period of time. That's when they're most vulnerable. And to remember to get a case that's not only going to allow you to hold all your lenses, but it's going to be secure and keep all your lenses safe."

on 6/11/2009 you said you like to hold your camera down when you remove the cap, but clearly, you had it facing up when you removed the cap. then you just turned it over and faced it down. any respectable photographer knows that from the start you ALWAYS HAVE TO POINT THE CAMERA DOWN..! EVEN WHEN PLACING THE LENS..! YOU DO NOT NEED TO FIND THE DOTS, SINCE THERE IS A GROOVE IN THE LENS AND CAMERA ITSELF THAT WON'T ALLOW THE TWO TO FIT TOGETHER IF YOU PUT IT WRONG..!
