Video Transcript

"In this clip, I'm going to explain you what a djembe is about. A djembe is made with one piece of wood if you see it and it's only one piece of wood. And also, on the top, they use a goat skin. With the goat skin, they have metal here to mount it with some chord. And those are nylon chords, sometime they use partial chord, but in Africa they used the skin also to do it in the old time. So, and the cone make the drum speak loud and you know the djembe is one of the loudest drums in the world. And so and also we have the other drum that they use, calfskin, but the djembe is the only drum in that region in African, for example, in Guinea, in Mali, they play the djembe a lot and they use a goat skin for the djembe."
