Video Transcript

"Hi my name is Jared North and today we are going to be talking about playing the major scale on the guitar. The scale we are going to talk about is the C major scale. The C major scale is the easiest of the scales because there is no accidentals, there’s not sharps nor are there any flats. The notes to the C major scale are C, D, E, F, G, A, B and back around to C. To play that on a guitar starting on the second string first fret, then move to the third fret, then we go to the high E string and don’t play any frets to get the E, and then the first fret, the third fret, the fifth fret, the seventh fret and the eighth fret. A good exercise is to run it forwards and backwards until you have it down. "
