"JASON PAINTER: Hi. I'm Jason. Today, we're painting on glass. We went over the paints, the design, and the glass. And one of the most important steps on painting in glass is having a clean surface. I've been touching this. It's got oil from my skin. I had it in garage--it's dusty. It doesn't need any soap and water. Just take simple water, put it in your towel where you're going to paint it just clean it off really quick with water. And we know that this is the side it's going to go on, and so we don't keep on touching it. We're just going to mark the back. It's not going to mark very well, but it will mark with the sharpie. I can make just a little dot on the back so I'm aware that on the other side is the part that I have cleaned with the brush--I mean, with the towel and I won't keep touching it. It's free from oil. It's free from dust and I've still got plenty of room to grab the jar and do everything I need to do. And I can see my black dot everywhere it needs to be. The other thing that when you're cleaning, make sure that you've got the dust out of the inside, just blow on it really quick. If you don't do that as your painting the dust can come out and get on your surface and with glass, it's very important that it stays really clean and really dry."
