"FREDERICK BURCHELL: Hello. My name is Frederick "Ricky B." Burchell with B4 Entertainment on behalf of Expert Village, and today we're going to talk about producing, manufacturing, marketing, and distributing your independent CD. All right, now let's talk about TV. Now, for every hit record out there, there's a music video. So it's so important that if you feel, "Hey, I got a hit record", this song is the hit that you do a music video for that and get it on TV. Ahead of time, you probably need to find out the formats that are allowed to the TV stations that play music videos. You can call them ahead of time to find out what kind of format do they want the video on that they could play it. Also, what you want to do is call these--performers like a lot of times, in local news stations, they have artist come on and perform on their show. And what you want to do is call ahead of time and say, "Hey, I would like to come and perform on your show." It's easy. It's just but a phone call. And a lot of times, getting on TV is a whole lot easier than getting on radio. I don't know why it is but it's sometimes is just like that. Now, what you want to do, once again, is have a professional-looking package when you go on and present your stuff to these TV stations. A lot of times, they want to see your artwork looking good. They want to hear the sound quality looking good so when you present to 'em, they'll be like, "Okay, the quality looks good, the packaging looks good. So now, we can have them come on and do a live performance on our TV show." Or also, if you have a professional quality video, it's so good to get that on one of the channels that play music videos. And nowadays, it's not as expensive as it was 'cause you don't have to shoot stuff on film. You can shoot stuff digital and it looks great quality. There's a lot of people can't even tell the difference when you're shooting music video digitally, and it'll cut your price down and service that to the TV stations that are playing your music or playing music videos."
