"FREDERICK BURCHELL: Hello. My name is Frederick "Ricky B." Burchell with B4 Entertainment on behalf of Expert Village, and today we're going to talk about producing, manufacturing, marketing, and distributing your independent CD. Now let's continue to talk about Internet marketing. Now I want to talk about social networking sites. Social networking sites are still very important to market your product. Why? Because so many people are on the social networking sites. But what you want to do when you make your social networking site is always have a link back to your site 'cause you still want to build fans. You want people to come to your web site where just, like I said before, on your web site you can have your e-mail address and all these things like that. And what you want to do once you get on these social networking sites is go and request different people. You may see them if they're a fan of--a big fan of another big artist in your genre, you need to go look at their friends list, and contact them. Say, "Hey, check out my music." And just keep--continue to do that. Go surf the web and you can find people who like different types or genres of music and you request them as friends or send 'em a message. And what you also can do a lot on the social networking sites, you can leave comments on certain people's we--on certain people's social networking site. So you can go to a big artist that's in your genre or music that you do and leave a comment. Say, "Check out the music on my new--check out my new CD." You can go to this web site or you can go to my social networking site." Lots of times, there are fans that are on the site, they look in and then they may see your comment and they'll say, "Hmm, let me check out this artist." And then they end up going to your social networking site, and they end up going to your web site, and then you have a new fan and then you have a new CD sold. So what you want to do is use the social networking sites to network and let people know about your CD and market your project."
