Video Transcript

"I want to introduce my partner, Luis Rivas, and we will show in this clip, the same walking, but with the leading and the follower roles. The man is leading me with his body, so it's not going to be embrace yet, no arms, no anything, no step, just the regular walking, forward, backwards and side. And I will be following his body. Back; I don't know the choreography, he's just improvising with me and I'm following him. That's a very good exercise, to get this connection in between the couple, and feel that you step at the same time. He's coming towards me, there's an invasion of space, I have to go. And we use all those directions, those are the directions of the tango; forward steps, and side, that is our bridge step, that we use it to connect steps, and backward steps; and we try to get this connection from the very beginning, that's the most important thing, that the lady is able not to anticipate what he is doing, but just follow him and stay together."
