"Hi! I'm Gary for Expert Village. Let's see if we can get a nice clean look along the edge of our book. Like we did with this book we see over here the fat tape did a good job covering the bare back and by the way this tape is very good to use. If you get a good marker or you can get a white marker and you can even write titles on the back of this tape and it won't rub off. What I want to do is just get that nice clean look down the back and I like this tape. As you can see over here, the tape hanging over. I am going to try and get a nice solid clean straight look. So what I am going to do is take my thin tape and I am going to put a strip right down the side and since it is on the side, I will be able tuck it right into the cover of the book. I won't have the problem of trying to separate the pages in the back there. So what I am going to do is I am just going to take a strip and put it right across that one and next and make it so that it covers up that excess. I am going to go ahead and leave it hanging over the side and I will give it a little cut and then I will go ahead and tuck it in from over the top. Also over here, I will do the same and I also have on this side as well; I'll go ahead and do that too. Then we will see it is much nicer look. Have a nice clean look going all the way down the length of the book. Again, we can write the title right along the spine of the book and if it is a book, you want to give it a nice more professional look. I would do that so that it gives it that nice, nice clean edge. If you are binding a book and actually getting paid for it, I would think that you would want to do this. It gives a much cleaner look down the side of the book and much more of a professional job.
