"In this clip I'm going to demonstrate a 6 stroke roll. There are several ways of doing a 6 stroke roll. I prefer myself because I play in a heavy metal band, I like to do the single stroke, 6 stroke which is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Rudimentally you're taught to do right right, left left, right left. Also you can do 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. That's for you more advanced guys that are out there. But first of all I'd like to show you the right right, left left, right left technique which goes like this. Now the single stroke on the snare alone which I was talking about that I like to use because I can get more power out of it goes like this. This is what it sounds like when it's sped up. That was a 6 stroke roll. Go have fun with it."
