First off, don't expect them to tell you anything so you have to be prepared on your own and ask a lot of questions. On smaller shows, you may want to ask if you need to do your own hair and makeup and then ask what style of hair and how much makeup they would like you to wear. Also make sure that you ask if you need to bring your own shoes and if they say yes, make sure to bring many different styles and pairs. "
