This is about the oldest piece I own. This is from about 1973 1974. It's an incense burner. So I don't own any pieces. I sell them all except for this guy. Very expressive. It's my carnival piece. I can light up my incense, people smell me a mile away. And it kind of advertises me. You know. Active art. I like to do framed shapes. This big hollow mouth is just inviting. Holler and screaming. Put a little frizz up here sometimes it accents the hair. Sycamore. We love sycamore. Its elegant where it can give you a nice flow. This is some late Montezuma sycamore. What do I call the piece? Naming the pieces is a challenge. You know I usually go from all of the ascended master to all the planets to all the prophets to you know. Anything that has a rythum and a ryhme to it I'll use as a name. This is a nice piece of oak. In fact I've done this piece before for my sister. She has a smaller version Not out of oak but it's in the same kind of form, you know. With the hands and the praise and that kind of thing. And again keeping it balanced. Arms and legs, and trying to keep some kind of symmetry flowing. Wings are something. Flying away is kind of like a pharoah. Many Egyptian pharoah's they had hair just the way it was. So we didn't have to do much. Crazy looking mouth. I like all the formal hairdos. This is Mr. Heart over here. Hearbeat. It's got the ventricles and auricles. You know like the blood coming in and blood coming out. Scary aint it? So that's the kind of thing I like to do.
