So, after you've got your sketch sort of worked out, you're going to want to start working on color models. Now this just gives the owners an idea of the sort of color palette you're thinking of working with. Here are a couple of examples of color models I've done from murals in the past. Now the mural that you're looking at behind me, I did not do a color model for. I just sort of dove in head first and it came out the way it came out but normally, for a client I'll submit a color model and make sure that everything is to their liking before I start on the actual wall. So, this one here is for a mural that was 22 feet high and 20 feet wide. This was just a real, real fast rendering I did in acrylic just to give them an idea of the colors that might appear in the finished product and to make sure it jives with what they've already got going on in the house, and this other one, also done really quickly just in Photoshop; Photoshop is a great tool. You make up your color model and you shoot it off via e-mail, quick and no mess. This one was a much smaller mural. I think it was 8 feet high and 4 feet wide, but planning is always important no matter what the size.
