"Okay, now we're ready to trim. So we're going to take that same trimming tool, the small one, the ribbon tool, and you leave the lid in the casserole. That's the easiest way to have it centered for trimming. If you try to do it on another bat or anything else, it's not quite as easy. And I just want to get a nice, even dome. I don't want it to look flat and then go down. So you trim quite a bit off. I had to leave a lot of extra in there when I was throwing, so that I could keep the stability. So that the sides of that bowl that I threw wouldn't fall down, and here's where we take all of that out. You don't want your lid to be too heavy. And once we've got it close to the shape that we want, you'll take a wider trimming tool and it'll just clean out those lines that the small trimming tool left behind. And now we're ready to make a knob and put it on the casserole."
