"So a really interesting way to make a handle for your batter bowl is to use an extruded handle. And an extruder is like a giant play-doh factory. It's going to give you one even length of clay. Mine has a four inch, round barrel. So I've got a prepared piece of clay that will go into that nicely. So I'm going to cut a piece that's about the right size and once I've got that cut, I'm just going to hit it on my table to round it out a little bit. Beat it up so that it will be evenly thin. I don't want it to get hung up. And once you've got a cylinder that's a little bit smaller than the extruder you're going to use, you're ready to move on to the extruder."
