"Now this is going to be bowl with a smooth curve. But I want it to be a tall bowl. So the first step in my pull I'm basically going to make a cylinder. I am going to take my right thumb and stick it underneath the pot of clay. So that I have got a nice undercut and a place to put my left thumb and I will use my left hand and pinch and the left hand is going to be what's pinching and pulling this wall up. The right hand is just going to be stabilizing the rim as I do that and have the sponge so that if I need to add lubrication I can. So my left thumb is underneath my left index finger and I'm using it to just lull up that lump of clay. Again like I said the first step is going to be mostly cylindrical. Again get under there with that right thumb. This keeps you from having too much weight at the bottom of your piece and get the right hand underneath the left. So that you pulling that weight of clay from the bottom up. Now you want to make sure that you don't thin this rim out too much because we're going to be pulling a spout out of this rim in a later stage of this bowl. So make sure that you leave some there and once you have got you clay kind of pulled up. Now you can actually pull it out into the shape that your bowl is going to be."
