"Now, if you have two square plates to use as templates that's great. But, if not and you're going to be using cardboard I'm going to show you how to go head and get all the pieces together that you need for this project. If you have a square, that's going to make your job a lot easier. Now, I'm just going to make a seven inch square. So, I'm going to the seven mark on both sides of that square. And, then just flip it around and line it up. So, that can be your walls. And, you'll only need to cut one of these out. But, you'll use it four times. So, cut that piece out and that's your walls. And, then for your bottom you're going to need a little bit larger piece. So, go ahead and use your square again and cut one at eight inches if you've used seven. About an inch or so is enough space to give you a drainage pan. Maybe, an inch and a half if you're doing a really large piece. But, then another important part that you're going to need. If the base is eight inches across, you're going to need eight and a quarter inch long pieces for the sides that come up on your planter. So, I'm going to go to eight and a quarter. And, the reason for that is I'm going to be overlapping them on the outside. And, if they're only eight inches long they're not going to meet. So, they need to be eight and a quarter. And, then I'm going to make the one and a half inches tall. So, I'll flip my square over line that back up and then cut this piece out. So, I've got two sizes of squares and then one long rectangle. And, there will be four of these which will go around the outside of the pot."
