"Another thing that you need to remember is to raise the soft palate while you are singing. The soft palate you can find it by taking your thumb, putting it on the roof of your mouth like this and then scooting it back until you feel the soft palate, which is not the hard palate roof of your mouth but the soft palate. When you find your soft palate, you need to make sure that it is raised whenever you are singing. To be conscious of that just think of whenever you yawn or when you are about to yawn, the sensation that you get, opens up your soft palate and you have a large hollow space in the back of your throat. That is the feeling that you need to have when you are about to get ready to release notes to sing. So just remember jaw placement, lengthen it and raise your soft palate whenever you are getting ready to sing."
