Series Summary

Cosmetic makeup has been used for years to enhance the natural beauty of women around the world. When used on stage or in a movie, makeup takes on a role of its own. Special effects makeup can be as simple as a cut on the face or as complicated as full-body character makeup. With the help of stage makeup and costumes, you can bring a character to life. This is why it is important to know the techniques of applying stage makeup. With some professional instruction, anyone can learn the art. All it takes is some time and practice.

With 3D makeup, stage actors' faces can transform to reflect a number of scenarios. Makeup can make someone look like they've been in a fight with cuts and bruises or any other affectation of the skin that can be imagined. In this free video series, an expert on makeup and cosmetics will teach you about 3D makeup, what it is, and how to apply this kind of makeup with step-by-step instructions. You'll learn how to prepare makeup putty, add stipple to enhance texture, and use powder and foundation to blend the effects of 3D makeup. There are other tips and techniques as well, such as matching the actor's skin tone or creating the effect of a break in the skin. Improve the visual effects of a performance with these 3D makeup video instructions!

"Hi I am Erin and you?re watching Expert Village. Today we are going to be working on three dimensional make up. Ok for our tools for our three dimensional today we are going to need face putty, we are going to need a foundation to match the skin, we are going to need our stipple sponge, our cosmetic sponge our eye shadows that we were using in a previous series. What we are doing, once again I'll reiterate that we are not using any of the cream base were going to do some, use some tools that you can use from home out of your own make up kit. Such as like your own eye shadow and you can shave off the eye shadow and get a basic moisturizer and I'll show you how do that later but this is what we are going to start with now. You need some regular loose powder and I believe that's it. So let's get started."
