"Hello, my name is Fati Lycouridis on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to talk to you about using the left hand for the baroque lute. The left hand principles on the baroque lute are basically the same as on a classical guitar. You use basically one finger for stringing, and you almost the same way with baroques and things like that. Now the thing is, since the neck is really wide, sometimes you are required to bar up to the eighth course here. So that's something that you will eventually have to get used to. But the action on the instrument is so low and so soft that it wouldn't really be a problem if you practice enough."
