"Hi, I'm Emily Larew and we are continuing on with adding to our tap basics. We're going to teach you how to do a three tap riff with a ball change. So, what we are going to do is we're going to turn around. Three tap just means exactly how it sounds. We are doing three sounds, three whole tap movements, before we add the ball change. We are going to start with our right foot. I want you to keep it really close to your left foot, right underneath you. Make sure you are using your ankle, not your whole leg. So keep it small. We have a brush, heel, heel. Try it again. Brush, heel, heel. Now as you can tell or I don't know if you can tell. Let me just look at you for a second. When we're doing this brush or so called a brush, it's more like just little bitty tap. So, you don't want to hit brush, heel, heel, then you're going to be too far out and you want ever be able to make it faster. So keep it as a tap heel, brush heel. You're still making a brush motion with your foot but it is nice and tiny. Tap, heel, tap, heel, heel, tap, heel, heel. So it sounds nice and crisp. Tap, heel, heel. Good, that's part of your first part of your three tap riff with a ball change. So, let's try it. Brush, heel, heel. You're going to do a ball change to the back. Ball change, brush, heel, heel, ball change, brush, heel, heel, ball change, brush, heel, heel, ball change. Good and you just kind of want to make it like a little bicycle motion. You're going front and back with your foot. So if I turn the side, brush, heel, heel, back, front, brush, heel, pick it up, brush, heel, heel. Because a lot of people when I teach this step, you’re going want to keep this heel on the floor and you're not going to be ready to go for next step. So, you got to make sure as soon as that foot hits the floor and does its tap motion, it comes up so you can reuse it in a split second after you use your other foot. One more time. Brush, heel, heel, ball change, brush, heel, heel, ball change, and a tap riff is what you got. Good job on your three tap riff with a ball change."
