Hi I'm Emily Larew and we're going to take a look at how to do syncopated pullbacks. So again, we're on the pullbacks we're pulling it on backwards. So to begin this, what I want you to do is grab your bar. It's a little bit trickier. Remember if you've looked at the preparation for the pullbacks, we did four sounds and we sat in a chair. So now the next step is coming to the bar where I want you to do the same thing. You're making four sounds with syncopated pullbacks, OK? So what I want you to do is you're going to pull back on your right foot. Right, left, brush step, step, OK? So brush, brush, step, step. Start up on your, with your heels down to the floor, toes up. You go brush, brush, step, step. So you have four sounds, so make sure always alternate right, left, right, left, or if we're doing it on the left side, it will be left, right, left, right. And remember you're making all these sounds with the ball of your feet, not your toes or your heels, OK? So make sure you land heels up now flat footed. So we have, this is a nice little prep. Plie, you're going to push off evenly, four sounds, try it again. Plie, four sounds. So what I want you to do now is step away from the bar. You're going to lift your toes up, make sure you try to wave hello to me. Four sounds. Plie, four sounds. Good and then we're going go pull it back. Good, and those are your syncopated pullbacks.
