Hi, I'm Emily Larew, and we are going to learn how to do a flap turn, single flap turns. So I'm going to go ahead and start over here. We're going to turn and do a couple turns to the right. So we already know that we're doing a flap, all right. And likewise, in any chaine turns or anything, you want to make sure you're stepping to the side. So we're turning out our foot. So I want you to do a basic chaine turn. That's where we're getting this whole flap turn from. And we're going to go step, and we're going to go step. We're stepping to the direction that we're going to end in, all right. So it's only two steps. One, two, and then we'd start over again. One, two, all right. So let's now add instead of a step, because we're not doing chaines, we're doing flap turns. So instead of our steps, we're doing flaps. We have, let's put our hands on our hips, flap, now you're going to take your left foot and flap to that wall, flap. Now turn, as you're turning your shoulders to the front, you're going to push off that left foot, so you have your right foot free. Flap. All right. And especially if you're on a little slick floor it's so much fun, 'cause you can just turn for days and have a lot of fun, all right. So really push off that foot, it won't take much at all. Five, six, seven, so we have, flap, flap, flap, flap, and again, you can notice that I'm going to the wall. Let's try a little bit more. Five, six, seven, and flap... woo! And that was your flap single turns.
