"So, the first thing I'm going to do is take my right thumb and slide it along the bat and push underneath that outer edge. That's going to give my left thumb a place to go. And, I'm going to be pinching with my left thumb a little bit lower than my left index finger. And, with my right hand I'm going to be compressing from the top and also squeezing the sponge a little bit to give myself some lubrication on the clay. Now, I want to leave this upper lip pretty thick. That's where the second bowl is going to attach. So, you don't want to thin that out or you're not going to have anything to rest it on. So, now I'm going to take my hard metal rib and I'm going to push from the underneath against my left hand and just stretch this clay out some more. And, now once I've got it about the thickness that I'm looking for I'm just going to go ahead and shape it a little bit. I'm going to make it a little bit more bowl shaped. And, now I'm going to take my rib and I'm going to hold it against the bat and slide it towards the piece to get a nice good undercut. So, that's the end of the throwing for this and I'm going to show you how to measure for the interior bowl."
