"Now, the first thing I'm going to show you is a basic cylinder using a turntable. It's important to have something, if you're trying to make something round to have something that spins. Now, the first thing I'm going to do is just put a little bit right down in the middle and then coil it around on itself and press that down. Add another coil. Now, I'm going to take my wooden knife and I'm going to smooth those connections together. And, once you've got that as a nice even pad that's connected really well you can spin this turntable and holding your needle tool directly in one spot not moving your needle tool just continue spinning that turntable. And, what this is going to do is give you a perfect circle to start with. Remove the excess and now you've got the base for the cylinder that you're going to build up with coils."
