"So, once you have your clay prepared for the extruder you can go ahead and start extruding. Now, there's different dies that are sold for the extruders. This one, they're all cylinders. They're all circles, but there's different sizes. And, it comes with a cover-up die so that you can select the size coil that you're looking for. And, they're also sold as just a regular plain circle. The die goes into the bottom piece and that hooks onto the base of the extruder. And, then the clay goes into the barrel and the plunger goes right in on top of it. Now, the first couple pumps aren't going to push anything out. Because, the clay is just conforming to the cylinder itself. I've got a board near me, so that I can have somewhere to lay the coils. But, also be able to transport them around. And, then you just want to slowly push those out. Pinch it off with your hand and set it off to the side."
