All right, a party staple is the chip and dip plate. You want to have a place for your dip and a place for your chips. This is one way that you can do it. I'm going to show you three different ways to make a chip and dip. To start this, the outside of this is five pounds. So, we're going to cut some clay and I've got a little over three and a half there. So I need another pound and a half. That's about right, a little under a pound. I mean, a little under a pound and a half. So then, because they're two separate pieces, I'm going to roll them together and pat them, so I don't get any air in between, and then I'm going to wedge them together. I don't have to wedge a whole lot because there's no air in there, but if you need your clay be aired, wedge it about a hundred times. Pat your ball up round. I'll set that aside. Now for the cup, I need a one pound piece of clay. I'm going to throw it separately. Perfect, it's a little over a pound. I'll take it. Do the same thing, wedge it up and then ball it up, and now we're ready to throw.
