So, I've shown you a variety of different techniques for decorating your pots with glaze but what it really comes down to is experimentation. You want to take every glaze you've got, try it at different hydrometer settings, and dip it into different colors of glaze on different sides of the pot. And, strangely enough, the same glaze underneath other glaze can look completely different if you switch them the other way around. So, dip everything in every other color and then do the opposite. Try several colors in one pot. See how that goes. Try a little bit of was resist over one of the colors you've already put on there. If you combine matte glazes with gloss glazes, sometimes you can get very interesting effects. This, for example, is where the gloss glaze was actually bubbling up through the matte glaze and that's where these circles are coming from. It's not a decoration that I created. The glaze did that, in the kiln, all by itself. So just try, like I said, just try everything. Go out there, find a bunch of recipes. Test them. Test them with every other glaze that you've got in your studio and see what you come up with.
