"Now I want to talk a little bit about layering glazes and how you can get dramatic effects by doing so. All three of these pots are using the same three colors of glaze. They're just using them in three different ways to achieve very different results. Now the three glazes that these are using are this glaze that starts bright yellow, this glaze that starts red, and then the white glaze that I have here in my slip trailing bottle. This one happens to be the red with a dip of white glaze on top of it. This is the yellow with a drip of white glaze and then a dip of red glaze. And this is the entire thing dipped in yellow. I've dripped the white around the rim with the bottle. Just exactly like this piece that I've already shown you. And the final step in getting that effect is to dip the entire piece again into this color. This time very quickly. I've learned from testing that that achieves that particular result. A very fast dip."
