"So we've got our pound of clay ready, or three-quarters of a pound of clay ready, we've got our bat ready. We're going to throw that piece of clay down there, pretty firmly, you're going to want to lean the weight of your body into your left arm and push that against the wheel-head, or the splash pan, and also lean so that all that weight is coming through the heel of your palm. Your left hand isn't going to be moving much, your right hand is going to be doing the majority of the work. You want to get your sponge wet enough that it's not dripping but if you squeeze it, it does. And then you want to push from your right hand into your left hand, and push up, and make a fist, and push down, keeping your left hand as still as possible. The goal here is to get this little piece of clay so that it looks like it's not moving anymore and feels like it's not moving anymore. In fact, a really great way to center, a really fun way, is to close your eyes and you can tell when it's centered. So now we've got a centered piece of clay and we're ready to throw the cup of the goblet."
