"Once you've got your soap pump pot glazed and fired and completed. You can go ahead and assemble it into a soap pump. Now I just want to go ahead and point out that if you buy an oil bottle soap stopper, that will fit right into a pot that you've made sized for one of these glue on collars. So it can be either or depending on what you want. Now in order to assemble the soap pump, you're going to need a really good contact glue, something that's going to hold real well. You can go to your hardware store and ask the guys there what would be the best. But no matter how good your glue is it's going to be very important to take your piece and scratch it up a bit. That gives the cement something to grab onto, to lock into. The top of your piece, because it's glazed and it's glass is very slick. So you definitely need to get that scratched up so that the contact adhesive will adhere to that. And once you've got them both nice and scratched up you are ready to go ahead and assemble your soap pump."
